Wrestling and Food

Weird and fancy cheese? Check.
Weird and fancy meat? Check.
Homemade French bread? Baked, crispy on the outside; squishy on the inside.
Chicken? Of course!
Mashed potatoes? Always.
Roscoe’s gravy? Mmmmm!
Elote? Heck yeah!
Dessert sitting in the oven? It’s oozing with chocolate
Wresting: Survivor Series? Bring it!

Do you know the sign of a great dinner party? No, it’s not when everyone is having a good time (though that’s a very good thing.) It’s not when people go in for thirds or even fourths. It’s when everyone is in a food coma and has to unbutton their pants!

My boyfriend helped me prep and buy ingredients and food. We bought the chicken, cheese, and meat. We made the bread, dessert, and elote.

  • FRENCH BREAD: A “no knead” french bread recipe from Honey & Jam. I’ve used this
for years and I always get compliments on it! Delicious recipe!
  • MOLTEN CHOCOLATE CAKES: A new recipe I tried and it was an absolute hit! Relatively easy to execute! My boyfriend loved it! It’s also great as a reheated dessert as well. So feel free to make in bulk!
  • ELOTE: Super easy to make. Buy sweet corn with the husk still on and stick in a pot of boiling water. Wait until done, remove from water and dry off. Cover the ear with your choice of mayonnaise, cotija cheese, and cayenne pepper. That’s how we do it and it’s soooo good.

It’s no fancy four star dinner, but it was just as good. For me, there’s no better way than a simple dinner and watching wrestling. I can’t wait to do this again!
