The Huntington Library

So it’s been a hot second since I’ve posted!
Can you blame me? It’s been a rough few weeks.

BUT we are here to discuss travels and adventure!

So let’s talk about this place:
The Huntingon Library, Art Collection, and Botanical Gardens

Gorgeous, gorgeous place!

The Japanese Gardens

Word of caution: Stay hydrated, stay cool. Walking around will definitely warm you up and you will be sweating regardless of how cool the temperature is.

It’s a beautiful place to spend the day. Yes, day. It will take you all day to walk around and enjoy the sights considering it’s a massive place.

There’s the bamboo tunnel that’s just perfect for cooling off. I had to stop in the middle because it was so breezy and nice.

My boyfriend and I actually brought our own lunches and sat in the cafeteria and enjoyed the garden view and each other.

Like most museums, they have changing exhibits, but they mostly focus on Roman and Greek culture and art. As well as  Japanese & Chinese gardens filled with bonsai trees and architecture.

Individual buildings that make up the Huntington, but my personal favorite are the gardens. My new goal in life is to have so much money JUST FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of having backyard that look like the gardens. Pond, koi, and pagoda and all of that jazz!

The hours for the Huntington are usually 10 AM – 5 PM, but they start closing the exhibits down around 4:30 PM. I had to rush though the last exhibit because one of the security guards kept saying that we had to leave. Tickets on weekdays are $23; weekends are $25. Parking is decent and spacious and best of all: FREE!

Where is the most beautiful place you’ve been so far?
